Laser lights flashed by everywhere as they advertised the latest products, Zelena just walked pass them. As she walked along the streets of Majestic Falls Mile a grand amount of peopled crowed the area as they wore their exotic or conservative clothing, showing off their own personal style. She observed the large rotating current that was created as people walked in and out of the stores. Restaurants and cafés were filled with customers and the buzzing of their speech echoed across her delicate and tan ears. White light reflected off of her silver shoes as she continued to walk towards her destination, leading her to an alleyway that had smaller shops lining the street. She looked into the stores with her bright aqua eyes that had a band of a dark sapphire color around the edge of her irises, showing a calmness of the mind and the contentment for the light spring breeze. She passed by an old school bakery, then an antique shop with items of the 2000s and times before that, and then lastly she passed a machine repair shop that was owned by an excellent mechanic. She mentally smiled to herself as she thought of the fact that this was one of the only sections of the city where the metal of the buildings were designed to have an earthy and homey tone about them. Her attention was then brought to a different structure, a building that was halfway hidden by a small waterfall as it fell into one of the frequent manmade rivers of the city. Continuing her leisurely pace she walked under a transparent tunnel as the crystal clear water from the above poured around the sides of the clear structure, giving the area a feeling of power and elegance. She could feel the energy in the water as is cascaded down and it made her smirk, but only for a brief second. She then used her senses to hear another pair of foot steps that was a good distance away from her, she knew who was following her in order to protect her, but no one would be able to see them, not even her. That slightly irritated her but she wouldn’t complain, it wasn’t everyday that you found a bodyguard that was so persistent in their job.
She then walked into the isolated restaurant, only a few people knew of this place or could even get in. One had to be invited in order to become a customer here, which was strange but the place did have its little flare. One would imagine the building to be completely fancy and completely uncomfortable, but that stereotype was incorrect. One Zelena took a step into the hidden building she was greeted to the sight of a hostess sitting at a desk that was barely even that. It stood on two thin legs of silver metal and the top was a thin sheet of class with a modern twist to it. The woman herself though was dress causally by wearing a flowing white skirt, beige sandals, a baby blue dress shirt half way unbuttoned with a pearl colored tang top with a bit of lace on the edges underneath. The woman had vivid green eyes and brown hair that reminded Zelena of the color of chocolate. With a bright and trained smile the woman looked up at her customer and greeted her accordingly, the female water elemental then did her customary role of a customer, making sure to tell the hostess that she expected two more to accompany her for lunch.
Soon the women told her to follow her, and Zelena did with a calm composure. She thought about the discussion that she would have with Cas and her father. It wouldn’t be pleasant but it would be needed, especially if the agency continued to target the young ones. “Madame, I hope this area is suited to your liking”, spoke the hostess. Brought out of her brooding Zelena gazed at the area first seeing outdoor tables that lined along the shores of the indoor pond; and then she saw another small waterfall as it cascaded down lightly into the pond creating waves at the base and leaving them to reach the shore where they seemed to die off. She then looked to her left and right to see that natural trees were grown around the sides, the grass, and the wild flowers that bloomed there. The satisfied blue eyed woman than nodded her head. The hostess smiled and turned around to exit out of the automatic doors. It was these doors that gave the only hint that this enormous room was not really the outdoors, but in fact an indoor replication. Woods, lakes, and even plains were hard to come by now days. Sion was just lucky enough to end up near the some of the last bits of nature left. She thought about how so many people would pay a great deal of money just to come here once, just to experience the closest thing to true nature without putting themselves in grand danger that surely awaited them in Illusion woods and the Suicide Cliffs.
She released a sigh and a breath of held in air. She would have to settle for this for now, seeing that the agents were still roaming around the wood in search for her and her new ally. It was hard to stay a good week or two away from the lake, but it was necessary. She then briefly hoped that Cas and her father would enjoy it, soon letting the hope go. She wasn’t here to bring them pleasure, but to discuss with them what action should be taken about these young elementals seemingly to be targeted. She trusted the two that would come, for they knew much about the workings of the Agency, Elementals, and Society; even the little details of the crimes in the area, which was incredibly useful. The tan skinned elemental then made her way over to one of the tables placed nearest to the shore, where she watched the small waves fall back and forth against the shoreline. Now it was time for her to wait…

“Would you shut the hell up and just let me drive!” the elemental said to her passenger. Driving along the Mile was a bitch as it was and he was certainly not helping. “Don’t talk to your father that way.” He said with a soft laugh but he did stop nagging the girl. Finally Cas pulled off into a parking lot and sighed. Her father studied her and his brow furrowed. His hand began to reach out, Cas could feel the energy running through him even though it was small due to his element. She opened t he door to her vintage car and stepped out before the older one could touch her. “Come on let’s get this over with.” She said and shut the door. The electric was strongly not looking forward to this meeting. She knew it wasn’t going to be pleasant in the least. Not with what Zel had said in the library. “Would you calm your ass down before you short circuit something?” her father’s voice cut through her thoughts. Cas startled and looked over to him across the car. But he wasn’t looking at her. He was looking at the sign of the club across the street that was glowing brighter then before. It had been years since Cas lost such control. Emotions never usually get to her. “Oops.” She said with a laugh and focused. Yes she was jumpy indeed. She knew where they were going, it was a little hidden restaurant a few yards down the Mile. A lot of Elementals went there in search of privacy for discussion. “Ready Sparky?” her dad asked with a smile and stepped away from the car. “For this talk? Never.” But she knew it would be coming. This was too serious a matter. Just wished Zach was there to make things easier. His mind would come in handy. Finally the two set off walking side by side down the Mile to the place they needed to reach. No doubt Zelena was already there, she liked to be early to things like that. Their eyes canned the crowd as they walked. Their own hidden behind sunglasses. Luckily they both wore plain clothes so they didn’t stand out as cops. Didn’t change some recognized them, but the ones that did were Elementals too.
Walking down the street the pair didn’t talk so much. It wasn’t that they didn’t have things to talk about, just none was meant for those around them. Other cops, fine, other elementals, of course. But not for the normals that crowded the Mile having a good time. It was because they were cops that they were so on edge though. “So many out today.” His voice was soft, Cas almost hadn’t heard him. “It’s a sunny day. Notice what most are?” a lot of the elements they were seeing were fire elements. They loved the hot days. They were never too hot no matter the temperature outside. They were lucky with that one. The two were close and finally she searched for the door. The electric found it easy enough and waited for her father to find it. He hadn’t been there before so finding it was harder. Finally the two of them slipped inside easy enough and were greeted with a clean sight. The hostess stood and smiled to them. “Welcome. Two?” her smile was fake. She didn’t really like her job but she needed money. Helped that she got paid well here. Cas stopped analyzing her and opened her mouth to speak but of course her father beat her to it. “No we have a third. She would be here already.” Cas eyed her father from the corner of her eyes and raised a brow. A small twitch to his lip let her know to keep her own mouth shut so she did. “Of course.” The hostess said. “Right this way.” They followed her down a hall and knew where they were going to the inner sanctum was the most beautiful place in the city and truly Cas loved going there when she could. Finally the hostess moved aside and inclined her head respectfully. Her father had tested the girl with what he had said and she managed to pass. The hostess left and Cas cast her eyes around for Zelena. She finally spotted the woman at a table near the shore of the pond. Looking to her father she saw the tears that threatened to leave his eyes. It had been so long for him since seeing a waterfall let alone a pond. Even that it was indoors didn’t matter. She knew he missed lakes and rivers. “Come on dad.” She said gently and led him over to Zelena where she sat at an ideal place for the man.
Reaching the table Cas pulled a chair out for her still dazed father who had never been here before. He took a seat and visibly shook himself. Cas took the chair across from Zel and placed her hands on the table. “Good choice.” She said with a smile to Zelena. “Such a beautiful place for such an ugly meeting.” She wasn’t being sarcastic, which was unusual for her. Finally her dad had the sense to turn to their leader instead of seeming hypnotized by the waterfall. “Forgive me.” He said and brushed at his eyes. “It has just been so many years since I saw water such as this.” That her parents were water elements always baffled Cas but she never thought too hard about it. She knew a waitress would be appearing shortly to take drink orders and so she waited to start the conversations. As she had guessed one appeared. She ordered a sweet tea and a regular tea for herself and her father. The waitress waited for Zelena’s order then departed, down to business. “So what do you know of the killings?” Cas asked Zel looking the blue eyed woman in the eye with her own yellow. They had removed their glasses once stepping inside, no need to hide here. “Cas.” Her father breathed but she ignored him. She wasn’t one to beat around the bush. She wanted to get this over with. Of course she knew things about the cases, she was the head detective on them right now. She needed to know how much had been told to Zelena. While waiting the electric got that itch between her shoulders. They weren’t alone. Instantly the Elemental started looking around but she couldn’t see anyone. Turning her eyes back to Zelena she tried to keep her nerves under control. She hated when she couldn’t see everyone.

Darek followed behind his mistress for what seemed like forever to him, not once where his eyes allowed to stop moving as he scanned faces, looking for anyone that may be a harm to Zelena. Darek had learned how to wrap the suns rays around him to make it reflect all of his surroundings instead of him so that in a way he was invisible to the human eye. Only people that could see heat waves could see him as he walked a few feet behind Zelena, his footsteps clearly heard as he let her know he was there. Then Darek saw the restaurant she ha described to him before the mission. " Would you like me to wait outside, or escort you in? " Darek asked through the com link they had in there ears. "Wait outside." Was the reply he got and so he did. As he stood sentential on the roof of the restaurant, no longer seeing a need to be on the ground now that Zelena was inside.
Darek waited about a half hour before he saw two people, one a female and one a male. From Darek's new high tech sunglasses he could tell it was the people Zelena had been waiting for and so called it in to her. " They are here Zelena." Darek said as he dropped to the floor and followed them in, complete invisible to them. Once they went into the room Darek stood at the door. His hands on his Scorpions, silencers already attached. "No one gets in without me knowing." Darek smiled as he then pulled out a sensor and put it at the bottom of the door so that very few would notice it, but many would set it off. " Just in time." Darek said to himself as he saw the waitress coming, when she opened the door he followed her in and made sure all was as it should be inside. Once the waitress was done taking orders Darek followed her out of the room and all the way to the drinks. Then he followed her all the way back. Nothing would be getting slipped into any food or drinks. Darek thought to himself with a sadistic smile on his face.

Aqua eyes continued to look down at the water with no focus or intent, just an emptiness that most would consider calmness. She was mentally preparing herself for what stress could be created from this conversation. It was going to be tense no matter what she did. Then she felt the sensation of someone placing there eyes on here and she turned her head in a slow manner to see that her guests had finally arrived. Two highly respected detectives, especially among the elementals. She then observed as Cas looked onto the other detective her father, as he seemed to be overwhelmed by the area. Could she blame the old man? No she couldn’t it was nice to see any form that reminded on of Nature, also known as Tarin to some of their kind. Since the world was growing out and expanding to other worlds and the cities were growing larger. The expansion caused the rare appearance of clean forests, mountain sides, oceans, lakes, tundra, plains, and even deserts. It was said to see most of it destroyed thanks to the greed of the humans, they were killing the Earth, robbing it bare to leave nothing.
She closed her eyes briefly to clam her self down as Cas made her way over with her father. “Good choice”, spoke the golden eyed woman as she gave a bonus, a smile. “Such a beautiful place for such an ugly meeting”, Cas finished off. Zelena nodded her head slightly and her eye azure eyes turned rather serious as she looked upon the two elementals, “Indeed it is.” The eldest one of the three turned and apologized to her for being entranced by the area around him. Zelena let out a soft and rare chuckle, “I would be more insulted if you didn’t feel entranced by the water. So no apology is necessary”, there was a small pause, “Besides the fact that I am a water elemental allows me to understand your attachment.” That was all that needed to be said for the rest couldn’t be put into words well enough and would take too long. There duty here was to speak of the other matters that set a furious fire to the soul.
The waitress soon made her appearance and like a good host she waited until her guest had ordered their drink first. When it was her turn she had decided to order a lemonade today. The sunlight coming through the windows painted the area in a gold tint and she found it suitable to order the sugary liquid. The young woman then departed after leaving each a menu behind, Zelena didn’t pick it up knowing what she wanted already. “So what do you know of the killings?” asked the head strong woman before her. Deep blue and bright yellow eyes clashed against each other as they met, mixing with a calm power behind them. Her father called out her name softly but she respectfully ignored him. It was better to get it out of the way then to lollygag. The more time spent talking about it gave others a better chance of hearing the conversation. She was actually grateful of Cas’s bluntness, it was a characteristic that she expected from the detective.
“I know enough. And don’t worry about the other being here, he is on our side.” She spoke out loud to calm the alert elementals. She looked up towards the waterfall before she rested her eyes back on the two sitting with her. “I know enough on the subject to conclude that the killings were not sporadic, they were carefully planned out. Now what seems to elude me is who is the one planning such a thing? Most would assume right away that it’s the agency but I am one to doubt that. Because the work is still a bit sloppy for being so orchestrated, the agency usually wouldn’t leave behind crumbs like that. So the question I have is… do you have a suspect yet?” Spoke the stern woman. Her composure at that moment seemed to have transitioned from one of distance to one of a leader. Her azure eyes seemed to light up through some kind of controlled fire burning within them, her body was essentially frozen in its spot with a certain dignity and confidence, and there was a gentleness with her harsh words showing that their was some hidden compassion in her soul. Leaving the lasting impression of high ranking individual that fought for her people, much like a devoted empress or queen. But that is what she basically was, she was a leader of her race and she fought for their right to exist in a world that knew nothing of their existence. It was difficult at times but she felt that all the difficulty that she took on and conquered would help bring the elementals some kind of balance, some kind of lifestyle where they could live peacefully or in tranquility of their homes without worrying about an agent coming in the middle of the night to kill off their family. She hoped with all that she was that through her actions and those around here that this kind of future would come to be reality.
But like all things conflictions and battles must arise before the peace could settle in. A price in blood and sacrifice would have to be made for those in the future. It was sad in some way to look upon the situation and see that freedom isn’t free, ironic in a way. ‘Maybe no one is ever free’, she thought to herself as she kept up her previous composure. The waitress came back within a minute after she had asked her question. With great care the woman placed each drink on the table while she could hear the soft footsteps that belonged to Darek follow the woman vigorously. She wanted to shake her head but thought against it, it would look odd no doubt. “Thank you”, she spoke to the chocolate haired female. A smile was her return gift, “Now would you like to order or do you still need a little more time?” She then looked over at the other water elemental and electric elemental before she ordered her dish of Chicken Alfreado, with a Caesar salad, and a breadstick with a dish of alfreado cheese sauce. Then Cas and her father ordered their own meal. Leaving the waitress nothing to do but to smile, wave, and walk away with her orders. She heard the soft padding of footsteps again but she made sure to not give away that she could hear them.
A quick blink of the eyes and she then turned and took a sip of her lemonade. She had already searched the glass for poisonous contains by analyzing how much water was mixed with her drink. It fit the normal standard used in lemonade… then she realized she really was too use to her ability to control water. If she was ever to lose it… life would definitely be tougher on her.

Words of assurance came to her as she felt the hair on her neck stand on end again. So there had been someone else in the room. Even with Zel’s assurance that they were on the same side Cas didn’t like not being able to see them. “Heat wave element?” she asked not yet answering the question presented to her by their leader. She remembered Zach’s brother being able to hide himself in light before he passed, no doubt this one was doing the same thing. The woman knew more then Cas thought she did and also surprised her father. “No we don’t have one yet.” He said surprise showing in his voice. The younger turned to him in surprise. She hadn’t thought he would just flat up say that, no doubt feeling the connection with another water element that he hadn’t felt in so long. “We know that it isn’t the agency.” Cas said her eyes still on her father. He glanced at her and then down to the table. He knew she had said something without thinking. “Though we do have an idea that it is another elemental.” That part she hadn’t yet cleared with anyone but her father, they were trying to keep it on the down low but this was Zelena, she had the right to know everything that they did. It was right at that point the waitress came back with drinks for the three and set them on the table. Cas and her father nodded as Zel said thanks. She asked for orders and of course Zel knew what she wanted. Once that was done her father ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of fries. Cas wasn’t sure what to get so settled on the same order but also with a salad. She needed an equal balance of veggies and meat or else she would loose slight control on her ability of electricity, the nurons going crazy in her body.
When the waitress left again so did the feeling that they weren’t alone. “Do we get to meet the one that is hidden?” she finally asked not really enjoying the fact that someone was there that she couldn’t see. Sure he was obviously a body guard but even then she didn’t trust it. The fact that they were investigating a murder done by an elemental made it hard for the electric to really trust anyone she didn’t know. Even with the okay given by the leader and one she did trust. Her father elbowed her and she glared at him. He knew she had trust issues so this shouldn’t have been an issue for him to understand. Looking back at Zel she sighed and took a drink of her sweet tea. It didn’t have the right amount of sugar but it was enough that she could live with. Who would have thought she had such a sweet tooth when it came to her drinks? “Sorry Zel. Just find I can’t trust as easy anymore.” She explained and clasped her hands together on the top of the table. “I’m sure you know how that feels. Or else you wouldn’t have a body guard.” Of course she would feel better if an elemental hadn’t turned on their own kind. Let along killing the younger ones, ones that weren’t yet in full control. “There is a possibility that they are just a tool and that someone else is pulling the strings. If that’s the case we still don’t think that it is the agency. As you said, it’s just not as precise as it usually is for them. They are leaving behind too many clues.” She paused to take another drink. And that was when the waitress came back with the salads for the ladies. She said the rest of the food would be out shortly and then once again left with a smile.
Taking a bite from the salad she savored the taste of ceasar dressing. Her father chose this time to start talking since she was now occupied by food. “So far we have gathered that they like to use fire. So that points to either a fire elemental or someone who is just really good at keeping flames contained. And since with how contained the flames are we are leaning more towards elemental because no human could do that.” He took a pause to take a drink from his own glass and then continued. “Though we know that there is always at least two at each scene. Whether it is always the same two we don’t know. Only that one is always the same.” That was the most they had figured out now. They were still looking into the crimes and analyzing the data they had from each one. It wasn’t an easy task especially since the flames were destroying all the evidence they really needed. Cas looked around again feeling those eyes once more. Stopping mid chew a shiver ran down her spine. “He could join us.” She said and took another bite of her salad. Putting her fork down she noticed the plate was cleaned. She was either that hungry or that nervous. She knew the stress this was having on the elemental community but she hadn’t thought it was affecting her that much, now she knew. Looking at Zel she studied her as she processed the information her father had given. It wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to be told or to tell but it had to be done.

Darek had stopped besides Zelena once the waitress had come back with there drinks and rested his hand on her shoulder before following the young waitress outside again to where everything else was, including the salad she was preparing. Darek watched the ingredients that went into it because he had many of times watched what Zelena make it herself in front of him. So when something new showed up in the dish he quietly shut the door behind them so that none would hear her screams of fear and then came right up behind her and said " What is that you just put in that salad? I have never seen it in there before and I have seen that salad made many times before coming here." And with that he lifted the piece of lettuce that had a ground up red and black dust on it and sniffed it. " Poison maybe." Darek stated not asked as he held the piece out to her. " Eat it or you die by my hands." And so the girl ate the red and black dust covered lettuce that came out to be a crushed pepper. When nothing happened to her Darek apologized. " My mistake, move along." And with that he let her get back to work and walked out the door only to bend the light around him once more and follow her back into the dinning area where his Akra and her friends were chatting.
When he go back to the room behind the waitress he made it known to Zelena once again by going next to the waterfall and tapping the surface of the water once so that the ripples would catch anyone's eyes that was paying attention. Then he flew up to the top of the waterfall and perched himself there and listened to the conversation going on below him. Darek listened intently as he scanned all around the area, Zelena had promised that neither of these two elementals would harm her but it struck him as odd when they asked if he was joining them, but instead of just showing up he decided to ask his Akra. " Zelena, may I?" Darek asked as he circled over head, his great wings easily keeping him afloat as he waited for her answer to his question, it would be fun after all, he thought, to become visible over their heads and block out the light, casting my shadow over them as I flew to her side. And with that a smile spread to Dareks lip.

Zelena brooded on the information that Cas and her father were giving her. If what the detectives had suspected was true, that the one killing off the young elementals was an elemental… then the situation could only become more complex and tense. The Elemental could have been forced to do the dirty work for the Agency, leaving behind crumbs for the members of Orexia to follow in order to stop them from killing off the young. Maybe the being didn’t want to kill, but couldn’t stop themselves. No matter what though there are too many possibilities but not enough facts at this point to narrow down the exact circumstance.
“Do we get to meet the one that is hidden?”, asked the upfront electric elemental. Blue eyes directed their gaze onto the straightforward speaker. Zelena’s previous thoughts concerning the different scenarios that could be taking place were now gone, left behind as she studied Cas’s expression. She found it rather amusing when other woman’s father had elbowed his daughter. The glare that was given to him as a reply allowed female water elemental to see the well-built father and daughter bond between the two detectives. Soon Cas took up her drink and took a sip of her tea before she spoke again, “Sorry Zel. Just find I can’t trust as easy anymore.” There was a slight pause, “I’m sure you know how that feels. Or else you wouldn’t have a body guard.”
She agreed with Cas to a certain degree, but it wasn’t because of her trust issues that she had a body guard, rather it was her late parents that were the cause of her obtaining a body guard. A guardian’s whose purpose in life was to protect her; it was the only reason why he was even born… at least according to her parents and her guard’s.
The brunette woman then listened with complete composure as Cas spoke out her own suspicions. At least the young woman in front of her was thinking along the same lines as her, but there were a great deal of missing chess pieces. There was no way for them to truly know what their opponent’s game plan was, at least not yet. The chess board would have to become clearer before she could begin to accurately begin her own assault.
Sensitive ears could pick up the waitresses footsteps as she walked into the room, followed by her rather young guardian. Salads were placed in front of the ladies before the server told the small party that their food would soon be done, only to leave shortly after. Cas began to eat her salad while Zelena just took another sip of her lemonade, waiting a bit before she began to consume her small dish.
Then the other water elemental of the group took his turn to speak, “So far we have gathered that they like to use fire. So that points to either a fire elemental or someone who is just really good at keeping flames contained. And since with how contained the flames are we are leaning more towards elemental because no human could do that.” Another pause was created due the speaker taking a quick sip of his beverage, “Though we know that there is always at least two at each scene. Whether it is always the same two we don’t know. Only that one is always the same.” Silence was all that followed after the man had finished. Meanwhile Zelena’s mind was going over the information with great precision and locking away all the details that she could into her mind.
Zelena allowed herself to show a small smirk on her face after Cas had basically stated that she had enough of having her body guard hidden from her. She also noted that the detective had completely finished her salad while she still had half of her own left. “Nervous a bit?” she asked rather dryly. “You do know that this wouldn’t be the first time that a circumstance like this has occurred. In fact, it occurs more often than what I would like. Usually it is due to the fact that some of our brethren never learn that we are a united race. Some believing themselves to be one of the only few that exist and attempt to kill all others due for the strong desire for power, some wish to eliminate what they believe is not natural, and others have decided that the humans deserve the right to rule over us.”
She took another bite out her salad with such a calm expression that it seemed abnormal. “Of course this is only a few examples, there are an unlimited amount of reasons as to why one may turn against us. But the only option we have at this point is to stop them and provide protection for the young.” Her voice just leaked out power and authority, but with good reason. She wanted to be able to give her companions a way out, so that they could find some kind of light, some way to get away from the depressing news and thoughts brought up due to the unfortunate situation at hand.
She then heard her body guard’s question as she took note of the sound of flapping wings overhead. She had been paying attention to him as he moved from the doors to the top of the waterfall and back. It was hard not to, since it had been a bit of a distraction that she needed, it helped to keep her head leveled. Either way she knew that she should allow her two guests and her guardian to met. Since she was sure that they would eventually have to meet at one point. “Now as for my friend… he will show up soon… but I should warn you that he does seem to have a trickster personality. So I would suggest being aware of the area around you would be rather wise.”
It after her last comment that she took the last bite of her salad, while she listened to the beating of wings and the sounds around her, since her eyes would fail to give away the location of her guardian… at the moment.

It was nerves that was making her jumpy, or the fact there was someone in the room that she couldn’t actually see. That was never really an issue for if she focused enough she could feel the electrons that moved through a person’s body, even one that could hide in plain site couldn’t change what they were made of. Taking another drink from her tea though the detective surveyed the room. It was indeed a hide in plain sight and the sound of wings came from over her head. Perhaps that was the body guard but that they were able to fly would be just too ironic. Then again, with guarding someone like Zelena being able to be ironic may catch the attacker off guard as they wouldn’t think to look for the obvious. At least that was Cas’ theory as she sat there listening to the wings and drinking her tea. She knew her father was listening to everything Zel said so she didn’t pay one hundred percent attention.
“Yes I know this isn’t the first. Actually it’s the fourth since I joined the force a few years ago. Granted we were able to end those rather quickly with only a few murders on our hands.” She paused to look down at the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. There was a slight mist growing as the water pounded down and it distracted her eyes long enough for her to notice she was becoming antsy. She knew there was someone out there and though he meant them no harm she was ready to go for the gun at her side and start shooting things. This case had her more jumpy than she would ever admit to anyone, even Zach, who would probably figure it out once he saw her, but there was nothing that she could do about that right now. She had to deal with what was going on right off hand. Taking another sip of the tea she allowed thoughts to run through her mind, this was not going to end her job like it had to so many others already. It was becoming too much for some.
Her dad reached over and placed a hand on her shoulder making her turn to look at him. “Cas are you alright?” of course there was another she still had to hide her jumpiness from, not just her best friend. “I’m fine dad.” She said and turned back to Zel her eyes hard and blank keeping her emotions off her face. So long as she could do that then she could still do her job and there was no other option then to still do her job. “I’m sure that the elemental that is involved in this isn’t that old either. Even though they are killing the young ones I believe that they themselves aren’t that old because of this. It is more like a game almost, of seeing who is stronger. Just sometimes with the help of another. I think they are more there as a babysitter than as a person helping to do the wrong.” These were theories that Cas had kept to herself even from her father and partner. Which then of course made the Chief turn to look at her astounded. “Sorry dad, wasn’t sure you would believe me if I said it before.” Which was the truth, she kept many theories to herself usually until the time was right to tell them.
Turning back to Zelena she hoped she could see where the theory could come from. After all it was always only fire damage that was ever found. No signs of other weapons or tools used on the victims. Even when they were burned more than others it was possible to see there were no other wounds, it was all too controlled. “I think it would be safe to say that the killer may not be balanced mentally. Perhaps still have the mentality of a child.” That was a new theory, she had just thought of it because it would actually make sense then for someone to be there with them when the murders happened and why it being a game to them could be a viable theory.
A shiver ran down her spine and she looked down at her empty salad bowl. The glass was nearly empty and still something didn’t feel right to the detective. Cas looked at her father hoping he would understand. The look in his eyes said he was seeing her in a new light, he did see where her theory was coming from and the wheels in his head were turning. “That would actually make a lot of sense Cas.” He said his smile he granted one of pride that his daughter was so good and the job she had selected. A small smile appeared on her own lips and they turned as one back to Zelena. “It makes more sense than any of the other theories my detectives have come up with actually. They all thought it would be someone older that just was in it for money but I don’t see how that would cause this much and to this scale. If it was a child’s mind and the game was to see who was stronger than there would be no set rules as to when the game would end.” Her father had seen where her mind was going and it caused the electric to sigh, that was always a good thing when the chief agreed with you.
Taking the final sip of her tea she felt herself begin to relax. Even as Zel said her body guard would be joining them Cas didn’t feel as jumpy and in need of the cold iron of her gun in her hand. He could have jumped out and said boo and she wouldn’t have even cared anymore. “Yes I look forward to seeing who you deem well enough for a personal body guard.” She smiled and felt that it wasn’t the same smile she gave. Of course it appearing on her blank cop face made it not her normal smile. And the fact she had already figured out what he kind of was made it a bit easier on herself. She remembered a light element she met back at the academy and she had shown some of her tricks to Cas. One of them was being able to make herself basically invisible in light and the detective was betting that was what this one was doing. Though the sound of wings still surprised her and made her have just that small twinge of curiosity.

Darek smiled as he got permission from Zelena, his Ace, his Akra to show himself and so he did. He quickly took a heavy rock out of his pocket and threw it into the pound at the bottom of the waterfall having a big globe of darkness surround it as it made a loud bang as the rock collided with the water and splashed.
But Darek was not coming from there instead he landed quietly as the rock made a splash and ran up behind Cas and her father as the globe came rushing at the speed of light to Zelena's side. He slowly crafted the globe into his form and made it mirror his movements so that while Cas saw the shadow with glowing white eyes standing behind Zel with its shadowy wings surrounding her head and upper body, blocking her whole backside from the world, he was doing the same thing behind Cas and her father, his wings spread out around both of there bodies blocking out some light. And then before he became visible he put a hand on one of Cas's shoulders, and her fathers as his shadow form did the same to Zelena. " chief, Cas. Day good. You two many great things heard about." Darek said as he became visible bowing his head to the two of them as did the shadow he had behind Zelena. " Scare you I hope not detectives. My nature is all." Darek said as he took his hands off of the two of them and began to walk over to his Akra, and Ace.
As Darek strode over to the other side of the table you could see that each step was taken with purpose, every move calculated as he always scanned the area. His eyes never staying on one object for long, well besides on Zel, which his eyes always seemed to end up going back to. His black trench coat flowed with his body, making him seem to almost glide across the ground, and his eye's like always were covered with thick sunglasses. Like he had told Zelena once, the eyes were the windows to the soul. And only those you trust should be given access to that secret which is your soul. And so far only Zel had seen him without the sunglasses on.
Darek soon stopped looking around and kept his body near Zelena's just as his shadow he had made had, the only difference being that his wings seemed to wrap around her, covering her whole chest as he used his body as a shield from all things behind the two of them. A dark tint also surround them making it slightly harder to see Zelena and himself, but not impossible. " Zelena very important, no take offense at precautions." Darek said trying to say that he meant no offense to them but he took his job very seriously. If Zel wished to tell them about himself then so be it, but he would reveal anymore of his mystery then he had already.
In Darek's mind he was thinking that the detective was cute. But quickly shut the idea off. There was no room in his life for complications, plus the idea was absurd. But anyone who had been paying attention to him would have noticed the slight shift in his personality as he went from a slight relaxed and looking at Cas to almost at full attention and taking in the whole room instead of just a single individual. Unlike Zelena he had not learned to hide all his emotions, and at times he did let small things slide.
" I wounder if I could catch these children?" Darek thought to himself as he pondered the detectives speculations. " If I became a regular in the area the crimes are taking place I should eventually catch the person." A small smile went to his face then as he remembered a game him and his parents used to play. " What if training was being done. Machine being made to kill." Darek stated out loud, for he himself had been trained in not so different ways, just his targets happened to be animals in near the river. " What better way to shape....person into what wanted if not at young age." Darek said as he followed there thinking. " Missing kids lately?" Darek asked as he looked to Zelena first for support before looking towards the two guest. The older gentleman made him think of his dad with his companionship with Cas and he had to remember where he was. It would do no good for Zelena's guard to be thought of as weak. So instead he went and picked a few flowers from near the waterfall and gave one to Zel and one to Cas. Not saying why or anything for his reasoning as he went back to his old position behind his Ace. Let them come to there own speculations, Darek did not care, it only meant he could have more fun on there next visit. If there was a next that was for Darek did not go to many meetings with Zelena outside the ones inside HQ.
