Darek listened to the chief and with a smile nodded his head at his words. Then Came Cas's voice from outside the door and a small smile came to his face as he opened it and said to her in an alluring voice, " So you would leave a child as you put it to do an officers job? I must say you confuse me more then the older lady Zelena had make me a tux." And with that he showed her a small smile that he was joking.
Then once again all serious came back to his face as he looked at Cas's father " And next time I will use the front door. So as to not gain anyone's attention. Have a good day Mr. Spinner." Darek said as he held out his black leather gloved hand to the chief. " And please do not be a stranger Cas." Darek said then as an after thought he added, " And please do not step on my property without calling first...you may find some very unsavory things pop out of the ground if I do not set my security system off."

When his voice came to her she turned and gave him a glare. She didn’t want him involved at all, Zelena’s bodyguard or not! But it seemed her father was now determined which meant Cas didn’t have much of a say. But why did he have to ask to be put on as her partner? Honestly why did Harold have to go out on vacation now of all times anyways!? Fuming the detective turned back to her desk trying to ignore the child and get some of her work done. When she looked at him out of the corner of her eye she was just able to catch that small smile he offered her. Didn’t matter, didn’t stop her from being mad that her father had gone against better judgement.
“Yes please be sure to use the front door. The last thing we need is to be found out by all the police. Some are in the pockets of the agents but we can’t get rid of them for fear of exposure.” When the boy held out his hand the Chief took it giving one firm shake before releasing it and letting the boy leave. He knew Cas would be upset with him but they needed all the help they could get at that moment. And the fact that he was trained in other forms meant he could be trained here as an officer. No he wouldn’t ever be a detective but perhaps passing the test would be enough for her. Sighing he shook his head as he heard Darek’s voice from the other side of the door as his door slowly closed.
A smirk crossed her face. She doubted there was much of anything he could do that would actually catch her off guard or make her get hurt. No matter what kind of security the kid had. “I’ll be a stranger or I won’t be. And if or when I go to your place I doubt you’ll be much trouble for me.” Yes she was cocky, it was something that had gotten her in trouble in the field before and how she had ended up in the hospital more than one time but Cas didn’t tell that to him. It wasn’t something that he needed to know after all. “And besides. If your security system is so high then why are you worried about them attacking your place?” then again she hadn’t heard all of the conversation between the two.
Cas fell silent not really wanting to deal with this and yet seeing no way out of it. Her father had said he would be her partner, well she would only let that last for so long if she had a say. He didn’t have a right, whether her father thought so or not. Keeping her eyes on Darek she let the challenge show in them that she had shown to so many others. People who hadn’t thought she was cut out to be a cop, people who thought women were lower, people who saw her as weak. Now this kid got under her skin enough for her to give it to him. That was saying something whether he knew it or not.

" Because you do want someone alive to question don't you." Darek said as he slowly backed away. Once he left the office he left the front door and went back to his job at Zelena's side. His mistress would be pleased.
